Living and Working in Japan
Living and Working in Japan is designed for newly arrived expatriates and
their spouses. The program should ideally be taken within the first week of
arrival, and no later than one month into the assignment. It focuses on successful
adaptation strategies and provides a thorough orientation to Japanese culture
and its impact on the attitudes, values and behavior of the Japanese. The

Successful repatriation is critical if an organization is to retain the know-how
and competencies gained by its expatriates during their overseas assignment.
However, research indicates that repatriation frequently results in employee
dissatisfaction, and that 35-50% of returning employees in U.S. and European
companies leave their organizations within six months. Successful Repatriation
