Building Relationships in the Global
Organization
Relationships are the glue that hold organizations together. It is through
relationships that things get done. This course focuses on the critical relationship-building
processes that underlie performance when working with other cultures. The
overall goal is to help participants foster positive, supportive relationships
which help to enhance performance, and produce understanding and trust in
the workplace. Specifically, the course focuses on:
Creating Synergy
Creating Synergy is designed for a multicultural group and focuses on the
effective management of organizational dilemmas. All organizations face business
dilemmas e.g: we want high quality but low cost, we want short-term results
but long-term thinking, we want global products but local adaptations, and
so on. These dilemmas can be challenging in a single context. When operating
in a global context however, these dilemmas multiply and can be extremely
challenging. This program focuses on successfully dealing with these business
dilemmas when working with other cultures. Through an understanding and appreciation
of the impact of corporate and national culture on business systems and work
practices, participants will learn how to actively leverage and positively
work with national culture differences to create synergies which enhance competitiveness.
All participants are required to take the Intercultural
Awareness Profile (IAP) a month prior to the course. The program focuses
on:
Global Teams
Global teams play an increasingly critical role in achieving organizational
goals. Working in global teams however can be challenging as members bring
with them very different viewpoints, assumptions and priorities. This program
focuses on improving the productivity and effectiveness of global teams. There
is a heavy focus on team development, team processes, and team meetings. Specifically,
the program focuses on:
Working Across Cultures
Like every business manager, you sometimes "hit a wall " when working
with people from other cultures. They do things differently and they may not
understand or interpret things the way you do. These cross-cultural issues
can impact heavily on the quality and the results of your current and future
business. And they can affect the quality of your business relationships as
well. Working Across Cultures is a cutting edge intercultural management program
designed by Dr. Fons Trompenaars, one of the world's leading authorities in
intercultural management. The program focuses on developing transcultural
competence - the ability to actively leverage cultural differences to create
value for the organization. All participants are required to take the Intercultural
Awareness Profile (IAP) a month prior to the course. The program focuses
on:
