Executive Retreats
Off-site Executive Retreats are often a great opportunity for the management
of an organization to examine fundamental issues, make major changes, or to
test new ideas and try out new approaches in a non-workplace environment.
Retreats may be held for a variety of reasons: to align the collective creativity
of the management around a strategic issue, to create a vision for the organization,
to improve cohesion & teamwork within the group, to change organizational
culture, or to change perceptions, attitudes, and behavior. A well-conceived,
well-designed retreat can have substantial benefits. It can help change strategic
direction, generate new solutions for problems, get everyone pulling in the
same direction, deal with sources of hidden conflict, allow colleagues to
know each other & build trust, create a common frame of reference for
operating together, and help people see things in new ways & envision

Cultural Change & Integration Process
Corporate culture, the deep-seated assumptions, values, and behavior patterns
that differentiate organizations can be one of the strongest influences in
supporting or constraining strategic action in corporations. At IGB, we help
organizations drive successful cultural change and integration processes.
We use exclusively licensed assessment tools to measure and define organization
culture quantitatively. We not only measure the current state of the organization's
culture, but also measure what the culture needs to be in order to enable
the organization to achieve its strategic objectives. We then conduct a gap
analysis, comparing the actual and the required cultures. Finally, we map
out . a practical and specific roadmap to guide management through the critical
change process, aligning culture with vision and strategy. We also focus strongly
on leadership, recognizing that culture change and integration are intimately
linked with leadership competencies and actions.
Expatriate Performance Management Systems
The successful management of a multinational`s expatriates is critical to
global business success. We offer a total Expatriate Management (EM) package
of services across the expatriate life cycle. Our EM process starts with an
assessment of the organization`s global strategy. The next step is the creation
of a high potential candidate pool. Using our Global Competency Inventory,
we assess the current level of candidates`existing global competencies. We
then use a combination of pre-departure training, feedback and coaching, and
post-arrival training to ensure that the candidates selected by the organization
for overseas assignment have the requisite competencies. Finally, we re-assess
the selected expatriates prior to repatriation, and work with HR to create
a repatriation management system that fully utilizes and rewards the competencies
developed during the overseas assignment.
